🌱 Winterfest Kicks Off + Downtown Water Main Break

Mostly sunny and breezy. High: 41 Low: 17.

Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:

1. Marquette High School dismissed students early on Friday due to a threat made on social media. This was the second day in a row that classes had to be dismissed early due to threats. The first threat was a bomb threat made through social media on Thursday. The Friday threat was not a bomb threat, according to the Rockwood School District. (KSDK)
2. Winterfest kicks off today in Downtown St. Louis. The festivities start at 7:30 a.m. with a 5K race. The festival of lights will be available from noon to 8:00 p.m. Winterfest will be held in Kiener Plaza through Jan. 1. The festival will have special hours starting on Dec. 24. (Fox 2 Now)
3. A downtown St. Louis water main break resulted in a boil advisory being issued as a safety measure. The break occurred at 13th and Lucas on Friday morning. The break caused some damage to the streets and parking garages. A water main break occurred in the same area last year in May. It is unclear at this time when the water boil advisory will be lifted for downtown St. Louis residents. (Fox 2 Now)
