🌱 Woman Charged With Toddler's Death + FEMA Disaster Recovery Center

Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:

  1. St. Louis' Madeleine Escalante, 26 years old, has been charged with the death of a St. Louis County toddler. She has been charged with one felony count of abuse or neglect of a child, resulting in death. The 23-month-old toddler's autopsy revealed that the child died from craniocerebral blunt trauma. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  2. FEMA will be opening a disaster recovery center in Hazelwood in St. Louis County. The center will be providing support for flood victims in a one-on-one format. The center will be located at 8969 Dunn Road. Operating hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today and 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. the rest of the week. The center will reportedly relocate after this week. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
  3. The Blues at the Arch Festival returned to the Gateway Arch this last weekend. The festival went on a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year's festival packed the four-week series into one weekend. Blues fans from around the country flocked to the fun-filled festival. (KSDK)
