Woman Threatens To Jump From I-270 Bridge Over Mississippi River

ST. LOUIS, MO — Interstate 270 was briefly closed Monday morning after a woman threatened to jump from a bridge over the Mississippi River, the Post-Dispatch reports. The highway was closed for about two hours in both directions. The woman did not jump and was taken to a hospital.
Police and firefighters from Missouri and Illinois responded to the bridge around 9 a.m. and managed to talk the woman down, authorities said.
