Workers Find Body In Mississippi River Near St. Louis Monday

Officials believe it may be the body of a man who drove his car into the river on Friday.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Police in St. Louis are investigating after barge workers hauled a body out of the Mississippi River Monday morning, the Post-Dispatch reports. Officials said the workers found the body around 7 a.m. They are trying to determine if it belonged to a man who drove a car into the river near Laclede's landing Friday.

No further information has been released.
