A St. Peters man faces a criminal charge for pushing his wife into a brick wall Saturday outside a St. Peters restaurant.
Michael McFarland, 43, of the 200 block of Addison Drive in St. Peters, was charged Monday with third-degree domestic assault.
St. Peters Police said McFarland shoved his wife into a brick pillar at 258 Mid Rivers Center. When she tried to walk away from him, he shoved her into a brick wall, police said. A third party witnessed the incident, according to a court document.
McFarlandβs wife told police that things like this happen when they go out in public because McFarland βgets crazyβ whenever someone looks at or speaks to her.
McFarland posted a $5,000 cash bond and was released from St. Charles County jail Monday.
