St. Peters Police Looking for Gold's Gym Locker Room Thief

St. Peters Police are looking for a man they believe is connected with a theft inside of Gold’s Gym, located at 5230 Highway 94.

PoliceΒ were contacted by a male victim on June 13 who told officerΒ his wallet had beenΒ stolen from his gym locker. The victim told policeΒ secured his gym bag, wallet and keys inside of a gym locker for approximately one hour and secured it was a lock.Β  When he returned, heΒ noticed his lock was missing and his wallet, containing credit cards and cash was gone from his gym bag.

The victim contacted his credit card company and it was discovered the suspect used the stolen credit card to rack up charges of more thanΒ $800 at theΒ Target in St. Peters.Β  The suspect attempted to make another large purchase, but after he was asked for identification, he left the store.Β

St. Peters Police believe the manΒ committedΒ similarΒ theftsΒ atΒ other gymsΒ in Arnold and Maryland Heights. Police said Thursday that the same suspect is believed to have committedΒ the same crime at Club Fitness in Wentzville last week.

Police describe the subject as a black male between the ages of 32- and 45-years-old. The man was heavyset (between 215 and 240 pounds) and 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall. The man also has facial hair on his chin. Police said he was last seenΒ wearing what appeared to be a light colored hat (possibly brown), light colored plaid type short sleeve (button down) shirt and gray pants. It appeared the subject is wearing either eye glasses or sunglasses.
