📰 News we're reading
• Mine Expansion Would Supply Local Infrastructure in Missouri (constructionequipment.com) — A proposed 174-acre expansion of the New Melle limestone mine would help supply materials for widening I-70 between Wentzville and Warrenton, a project that will directly affect local drivers. County planners say the underground-only expansion won’t increase truck traffic but will extend mining operations, with nearby residents likely to feel only minor blasting vibrations if it’s approved.

• Wentzville Police Seek Public Help to Find Suspects Linked to Vandalism in Stone Ridge Canyon Subdivision (hoodline.com) — Wentzville police are asking residents to help identify a white two-door GMC or Chevrolet pickup believed connected to about $440 in vandalism to decorations in the Stone Ridge Canyon subdivision last Friday late morning. Limited video suggests the suspects may be juveniles, and anyone recognizing the vehicle or having tips is urged to contact Officer Harris by phone or email.

• Hunters asked to spread the bounty of their success through Share the Harvest program (mycnews.com) — Hunters in and around Wentzville can donate whole deer through the Share the Harvest program at Josephville Meat Processing in town, with little to no processing cost thanks to statewide and St. Louis-area partners. The venison is turned into ground meat and distributed to families in need, helping stretch food budgets while giving local hunters an easy way to support neighbors.
