• Brewery closing after 10 years in downtown Wentzville (ksdk.com) — Friendship Brewing Company is closing its downtown Wentzville taproom at 100 East Pitman Ave. on Feb. 1 after 10 years, shifting all operations to its larger Flint Hill location. Owners say the move will help them grow brewing and distilling capacity while still serving the community, but it means Wentzville regulars will soon need to visit Flint Hill instead.
   

• Janet Stephens-Blanchard (villages-news.com) — Wentzville-area friends are invited to honor the life of 81-year-old Janet Stephens-Blanchard, whose visitation and funeral will be held Friday, January 2 at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. A longtime insurance agent, co-owner of a St. Louis hardware store, and member of First Baptist Church of Wentzville, she is remembered for her faith, love of family, and many creative talents.
