Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
Krista has turned Polar Bears International, a small nonprofit specializing in polar bears, into a full-fledged Climate Change powerhouse. Having the polar bear as their mascot encourages tremendous interest in Climate Change. Her leadership and experience in education are powerful tools when combined with the charisma of the polar bear to make headway in getting the public to care about our changing planet.
