Tell us why they deserve to be nominated!
It is often that athletes get the most recognition, and while they deserve recognition for their efforts, so do musicians and others. Jesse has not only participated in concert band, but also marching band, playing in all kinds of weather to support the football team, as well as basketball. He served his band mates, on band council and as the photographer, capturing memories and posting them on social media for them and their family.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?
While Jesse is a 4.0 student, he's also a gifted woodworker. For his senior project, he created a large, beautiful wood mural, which he donated to Gallatin High School. It depicts every county, cut to shape, out of wood from the most predominant tree species from each of Montana's 56 counties. It was quite a project to research and source wood from each county, mill, plain, and jig saw, sand and stain it, all in the span of a few months. He spent countless after-school hours working on the project. Jesse plans to use his skills to create a business working in the trades. We need talented, hard working young men and women willing to do that.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Jesse!
