Here are the top three stories in Bozeman today:
- The Kaj Seifert Foundation for Aspiring Young Artists is offering grants to kids aged 10-17 in Montana and Idaho who have a passion for the arts and need financial support. The foundation's focus is on artistic lessons and classes but is open to various artistic pursuits. Applicants must submit a video explaining their interest, grant purpose, and associated costs, along with a written portion and a mentor recommendation. The foundation, created in honor of Seifert, aims to support unique interests and is actively seeking applications, even after the Jun. 22 deadline. (Montana Right Now)
- The Montana Department of Transportation initiated construction in Bozeman on Tuesday, focusing on the North 7th Avenue and Griffin Drive intersection. While North 7th Avenue will remain open with single-lane traffic in both directions, Griffin Drive is anticipated to be closed for approximately 30 days. The project aims to enhance traffic flow, minimize delays, and improve safety features, with construction expected to continue until late fall. (NBC Montana)
- Get ready for the highly anticipated Tap into Montana Brew Fest in nearby Livingston, showcasing the best craft beers in the state on Jun. 24. With dozens of Montana breweries participating, attendees can enjoy unlimited samples while indulging in local food and live music performances. Tickets are available in advance or on the day of the event, including VIP options for early entry and special perks, and a portion of the proceeds will support the Livingston Ice Skating Association.
