- Following a domestic violence incident, Bozeman Police Department initiated a search for a suspect, leading to a standoff near Laramie Drive and Fallon Street on Saturday night, Jul. 1. One individual has been taken into custody, facing felony Partner Family Member Assault charges, and is currently held at the Gallatin County Detention Center. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, and there is no further risk to the public. (NBC Montana)
- Bozeman's Music on the Green, a popular summer concert series, is returning with two free concerts on the front lawn of the Bozeman Public Library. The first performance on Jul. 9 at 5:00 p.m. will feature The Dead & Down, a band known for their unique blend of southern rock, psychedelia, and western influences. The event, made possible by donations to the Bozeman Public Library Foundation, aims to bring the community together through the power of music and shared experiences. Click here for more details. - Anderson Dog Park in Gallatin County is set to undergo improvements, including the addition of a paved parking lot off Ferguson Avenue and a walkway along Ferguson Avenue between Oak and Baxter Lane. With a total cost of $671,250, a $150,000 grant will contribute towards funding the project. Construction is scheduled to begin between July and August. (KBZK News)

- Amanda Haab, a biochemistry student at Montana State University, has become the first recipient of the newly established scholarship in partnership with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. As an Astronaut Scholar, Haab was nominated by faculty and recognized for her excellence in STEM studies. She will receive up to $15,000 in scholarship funds and gain access to exclusive events and mentorship opportunities with astronauts and scholarship alumni during the foundation's Innovators Week and Gala event in Orlando in August.
