• Evergreen Fire Rescue plans luminaria display (dailyinterlake.com) — Evergreen Fire Rescue is again lining Rose Crossing with luminarias on Wednesday, Dec. 24, starting at U.S. 2 and ending at Helena Flats School. Residents can buy $5 memorial bags at the Evergreen Fire station on U.S. 2 East through late morning Dec. 24, with proceeds supporting future displays.
   

• Flathead County Planning Board considers proposals for residential development (dailyinterlake.com) — Evergreen residents face two major zoning proposals that could significantly increase housing density and traffic, including up to 47 units on Solberg Drive and as many as 200 units off West Reserve Drive. Both projects hinge on infrastructure reviews, including Evergreen Water and Sewer District upgrades and Montana Department of Transportation input, while other subdivisions near Columbia Falls are also on the county’s agenda.
   

• Bikers Against Bullies hosts inaugural Biker Ball fundraiser (dailyinterlake.com) — Bikers Against Bullies is bringing its first-ever Biker Ball to Evergreen this Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Moose Lodge on U.S. 2 East, raising money for local causes including the Evergreen and Columbia Falls Boys and Girls Club, CASA for Kids, and other youth and veterans programs.
