  1. The Last Chance Stampede in Helena will introduce a new event next month, featuring women's breakaway roping during the PRCA rodeo from Jul. 27-29. In this modified version of tie-down roping, cowgirls on horseback compete to rope a calf, stopping their horse while the calf runs to break away the rope attached to the saddle horn. The addition of breakaway roping is expected to be a fan favorite, showcasing the skill and horsemanship of the cowgirls and their horses. (Montana Right Now)
  2. A third suspicious letter has been received by a Montana legislator, this time addressed to House Speaker Matt Regier. The unopened letter was flagged as suspicious by staff members and turned over to the Montana Highway Patrol. Similar to the previous two letters addressed to other lawmakers, the latest letter has post markings from Kansas City and a local Helena return address, indicating a deliberate attempt to instill fear and disrupt the government process. 3. The Governor's Office of Community Service in Montana honored six individuals and two organizations at the annual ServeMontana Awards in Helena, recognizing their contributions to the state's volunteer spirit. The awards highlighted the efforts of those who work behind the scenes, doing great things for others and the environment.
