- Forty local groups have been named by the Helena Area Community Foundation as grant recipients for the 2023 grant cycle. This year's grant recipients include the Angel Fund, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Montana, and Helena Area Friends of Pets. The value of grant funding provided during this year's grant cycle totaled $72,751. (Subscription: Independent Record)
- The City of Helena is warning residents about a new spoofing scam targeting locals. Officials say the scammers call potential victims and attempt to collect payments for the Court via the phone. Anyone who receives such a call is advised to hang up immediately. (City of Helena, Local Government via Facebook)
- Rising floodwaters impacted residents in East Helena over the weekend. The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office shared a photo Saturday of flooding on Wylie Drive at Pele Park and warned residents to prepare for rising waters. Officials are urging residents who have experienced flooding before not to wait in making preparations when flooding is expected. (Montana Right Now)
