  1. The City of Helena is seeking public input on a proposed project to relocate a section of the Mike Cormier Trail on Mount Helena. The trail currently passes through private property, and the relocation would allow the trailhead to remain while rerouting the trail around the private land. The city has provided a project proposal and is accepting feedback until Friday, Jun. 30. (City of Helena MT via Twitter)
  2. Montana is set to receive over $628 million from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to bring affordable and reliable high-speed internet service to 104,534 homes and small businesses in the state that currently lack access. This funding is part of President Joe Biden's "Internet for All" initiative and is allocated from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The investment aims to improve educational opportunities, farming practices, and access to telehealth services, with bipartisan support from Sen. Jon Tester and Gov. Greg Gianforte. (KXLH)
  3. Christopher Spadt, a 45-year-old man from Laurel, appeared before Judge Mark Piskolich via video in Lewis and Clark County. He is facing charges of felony sexual abuse of children after allegedly communicating with an undercover law enforcement agent who posed as a 13-year-old girl. Court records revealed that Spadt requested explicit pictures and arranged to meet for sexual acts. His bond was set at $70,000, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jul. 18. (KTVH)
