- Montana taxpayers can expect to receive tax rebates as the state starts issuing approved refunds early next week. Upward of 530,000 qualifying individuals will begin receiving their 2021 income tax rebates from the Montana Department of Revenue starting Jul. 3, with the majority of rebates expected to be distributed by Aug. 31. The rebates will be automatically deposited into bank accounts or sent as checks based on the taxpayer's filing method; for rebate information and status updates, visit GetMyRebate.mt.gov. (Q2 News)
- Helena Public Schools received $100,000 in grants from Boeing to enhance real-world training opportunities for students. A $25,000 grant facilitated the purchase of a HAAS Toolroom Mill, a high-precision software-guided tool, for Helena High School. Boeing additionally surprised the Helena Education Foundation with an extra $75,000 donation, allowing for the expansion of the manufacturing training center and the acquisition of updated equipment for middle school students. - Montana hunters unable to use their licenses this season have the option to donate them to disabled military veterans or active-duty service members engaged in hunting-based rehabilitation programs. Eligible recipients are disabled veterans with a purple heart and a disability rating of 70 percent or higher, sponsored by nonprofit organizations offering hunting as a rehabilitation service in Montana. - Governor Greg Gianforte has officially endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy. The governor's statement comes after four Senators — Steve Daines, Marsha Blackburn, Tom Cotton, and Markwayne Mullin — endorsed Sheehy in the 2024 race against Jon Tester. (Montana Right Now)
