• County approves $523,800 to protect potato farm between Manhattan and Churchill (kulr8.com) — Gallatin County has approved $523,800 to help place White’s Potato Farm, just three miles south of Manhattan along Churchill Road, under a permanent conservation easement, protecting 185 acres from development. The funding will leverage nearly $1 million in federal money, preserve key viewsheds and wildlife habitat, and help the White family keep farming across generations while maintaining open space between Manhattan and Churchill.
