Here are the top three stories in Missoula today:
- On Sunday, Mar. 12, a woman was arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault after allegedly attacking a Missoula police officer with a knife. The person who called the police to the 1400 block of East Broadway Street had sustained injuries to her forearms from the same knife. The officer suffered cuts on his hands, and the woman is currently being held in the Missoula County Detention Facility. (NBC Montana)
- Missoula police officers arrested two men for stealing a catalytic converter off a large U-Haul truck in the 1000 block of Burton Street. Gary Wood and Lono Drummond were arrested and both charged with felony criminal mischief and two counts of felony theft. Drummond was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and criminal trespass to property. (Newstalkkgvo)
- The Missoula Public Works and Mobility Department will be replacing the water mains on both East Central and East Sussex avenues, between Hilda and Maurice avenues, and the area around South Second Street West and Cottonwood Street. The city crews must replace over 3,000 feet of pipe. The work is expected to be finished around Jul. 26. (KPAX News)

- To help protect the elk population in the area, Missoula Parks and Recreation has extended the South Zone closure of Mount Jumbo. It will remain closed beyond the scheduled Mar. 15 opening date. The North Zone is still scheduled to open around May 1. (NBC Montana)
- On Sunday, Mar. 12, two ice climbers helped the Missoula Fire Department rescue a dog that was stuck on a cliff surrounded by ice. The experienced ice climbers, MFD Firefighter Libby Hooper's husband Pat and his friend Stephen, were able to bring the dog to safety! (NBC Montana)
