The labs that process the tests are only open on business days. Because of this, the Health Department encourages residents to book a COVID-19 test with plenty of time to receive the results if they are required by the destination they intend to travel to. The Health Department is not responsible for any delays in receiving results which may impact the patient’s travel. The only test offered for outbound travelers is a standard PCR test. It is the responsibility of the traveler to determine whether a standard PCR test meets the needs of the organization or country requiring their travel testing.
Furthermore, residents are also encouraged to consider COVID-19 tests after they return from travel to limit the spread of cases and potential new variants in our community. Individuals without symptoms will not be required to quarantine while awaiting their results. Individuals interested in booking this service should call 406-258-INFO (4636).
