    The three terms that expire include: 

    Student member: Seeking a university student for a new three-year term of Feb. 1, 2022 through Jan. 31, 2025. To qualify, a student member applicant must be a registered Missoula County voter, reside in Missoula County and be enrolled at the University of Montana or other post-secondary education institution in Missoula County on at least a half-time basis. 

    Americans with Disabilities Act member: Seeking an ADA representative for a new three-year term of Feb. 1, 2022 through Jan. 31, 2025. To qualify, applicant must have extensive knowledge regarding the application of the ADA, and/or preference be given to a Missoula County voter with a disability. 

    Alternate member: An at-large alternate three-year term of Feb. 1, 2022 through Jan. 31,2025 is open to new applicants. Alternates are required to attend all meetings and serve as voting member only when an at-large member is unable to attend.

    Meetings are held quarterly from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month in January, April, July and October. Meetings will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams until further notice. Additional meetings are usually scheduled before high turnout elections. 

    The EAC consists of up to nine members who study the efficiency of the elections process, advocating for fair, robust and trustworthy elections. Its objectives include listening to stakeholders, conducting sound research   and   learning   best   practices, and   offering   thoughtful   advice   and   recommendations   to commissioners with the goal of increasing public participation in the electoral process. Commissioners appoint five citizen members and one alternate, one student member and one member representing people with disabilities. In addition, the Democratic and Republican central committees each select one voting member and one alternate. One county commissioner also serves as an ex-officio member.
