- Mountain Home Montana is expanding its services in Missoula after acquiring the former Hillside Health and Rehabilitation building in South Hills. Mountain Home Montana is a nonprofit organization that works to provide shelter, childcare, and support to young mothers and their children. While the structure's layout is unknown at this time, the organization's goal with the new building is to house more families, have additional spaces for childcare, and hold specific areas for therapy and mental health counseling. - The Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN) has been shipping and delivering more than 36,800 pounds of donated pork across the state, including here in Missoula. With this initiative, Montana Food Bank Network in collaboration with Montana Farmers Union hopes to help combat food insecurity. A release from MFBN said the organization has been delivering the pork to its network partners in Missoula, Musselshell, Park, and more. (Montana Right Now)
- The nonprofit organization Empower Montana hosted a virtual meeting Tuesday to discuss the next steps in Missoula’s 10-year plan to combat homelessness. Missoula community members helped identify crucial needs for the plan, including more mental health services, help to navigate case management work, and more diversion and prevention services. - Come out to the Garden City Brewfest at Caras Park on Saturday, May 6, and taste over 70 local and regional beers, seltzers, and ciders. There will be a wine bar, food vendors, music, and more. - Unseen Missoula returns this Saturday, Apr. 15 with weekly guided historical tours through October.
