• Richland County deputy involved in early morning shooting (ktvq.com) — An early-morning officer-involved shooting in Richland County left a woman injured and taken to Sidney Health for treatment, while the involved deputy was treated, released, and placed on leave per protocol. Authorities say there is currently no threat to the public, and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation has been asked to review the incident.
   

• Robert Scott McCartney (blainecountyjournal.com) — Sidney residents are mourning the passing of 77-year-old Robert “Bob” McCartney, who died Nov. 13 at Sidney Health Centre after a battle with cancer. A Vietnam veteran and longtime land and title specialist, he eventually settled in Sidney and worked here into 2024. His family extends special thanks to Sidney Hospital, Sidney Cancer Centre, and friends at Crestwood for their care and support.
