Pillen appoints Patrick Carney of Norfolk to county court judgeship (newschannelnebraska.com) — Residents of Wayne County will soon see a new county court judge handling cases in the Seventh Judicial District, which includes Wayne and several neighboring counties. Gov. Jim Pillen has appointed Norfolk attorney Patrick Carney, an experienced practitioner and public defender, to fill the vacancy created when Judge Mike Long moved to district court.
