The tests are the first of almost 600,000 tests ordered by the state, made available by federal funding. Additional deliveries are expected to arrive in Nevada and be provided to distribution centers throughout the state in the coming days, the governor’s office said in a statement Thursday.
As the tests begin to arrive, distribution centers will be listed on a state website.

The tests the state has ordered will “provide a free, convenient way for Nevadans to pick-up at-home tests from community partners and have them on hand if they develop symptoms and need quick access to a COVID-19 test,” the governor’s office said.
The governor’s office also reminded people to order four free tests per household under a federal program. You can order those tests here, and those tests are supposed to arrive within a week to 12 days.
