
Experience one of Japanese cuisine’s most revered traditions during Omakase Kyara Sake Bar’s Bluefin Tuna Cutting Experience on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 5–8:30pm. The evening opens with live taiko drummers before Chef Winston Matsuuchi breaks down a whole bluefin tuna, guiding guests through each cut—from akami and chutoro to otoro, kama and other rare sections—prepared and served in progression.
The event features a seasonal multi-course tasting menu rooted in mottainai, the Japanese philosophy of honoring the whole fish, with sake pairings available (for guests 21+). Guests will also enjoy signature elements unique to Omakase Kyara, including tasting from the tuna head and the prized nodo jelly.
