• Make a difference in the life of an animal (pvtimes.com) — If you’ve ever wanted to help animals in the Pahrump area, the Nye County Animal Shelter now has a structured volunteer program that goes far beyond cleaning. With regular Friday trainings led by Paw-Rump Rescue and Rehab, residents can learn to walk dogs, socialize cats and support this busy no-kill shelter as it heads into 2026.
   

• Suspended Pahrump Judge Fiore Presses Nevada High Court To Rush Appeal (hoodline.com) — A judge serving the Pahrump bench is asking the Nevada Supreme Court to fast-track her appeal of a suspension that currently keeps her off the job while she still draws pay. Her lawyers say the suspension could damage her 2026 re‑election chances, while the state’s judicial discipline commission insists it can act despite her presidential pardon.
   

• Road rage victim on Interstate 95 reunites with life-saving Mercy Air crew (ktnv.com) — A truck driver shot in the chest during a March road rage incident on Interstate 95 near Pahrump has reunited with the Mercy Air crew that flew him to UMC’s trauma center. His story underscores growing concerns about dangerous driving in Southern Nevada and urges local motorists to slow down, stay calm, and give themselves extra time on the road.

    It ends up in my driveway several times a week at various times of day and night. W Wilson rd (Nextdoor W Basin-Charleston Park)
  • Just a quick FYI - while talking to a neighbor (he was ex-police) - he suddenly shouted at a few teenagers who were busy trying to damage/take down a STOP SIGN at the end of the road.
