5 Great Things to Do In NH This Weekend

1. Free samples anyone? The Merrimack Fall Festival/Business Expo is set for Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Over 100 businesses, organizations and crafters will be on hand to show citizens from all over New Hampshire what Merrimack and surrounding communities have to offer as they sell their goods and demonstrate their products, and of course food will be available from many Merrimack restaurants. There will be a live music extravaganza featuring Siroteau, and Brian and Gardner Murphy. The event includesm multiple demonstrations and entertainment for the kids. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras and have their pictures taken with Wally and with the Clydesdale and petting animals.
2. Aaaaaaaaah! New England FearFest at Fright Kingdom is the largest indoor attraction in New England and has been in existence for nearly a decade (as Fright Kingdom). New England FearFest was selected as one of the 2012 America's Best Haunts. Attractions include the Apocalypse Z, Vampire Castle, Carnival of Corpses 3-D, Bloodmare Manor and Grim! Tickets can be purchases at the door. General admission Friday & Saturday: $24; Thursday & Sunday: $17.
3. Charged up circus! Don’t miss Fully Charged, the all-new surge of circus entertainment from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey where megawatts of thrills explode off of the arena floor with breathtaking dare-devilry, superhuman stunts and never-before-seen performances that energize Children Of All Ages! Playing the Verizon Wireless Arena from September 27-30! The most electrifying edition ever of Ringling Bros. celebrates ‘performance power’ that boosts circus-goers’ excitement.

4. Beer! Join the festivities with us at Oktoberfest in Concord all day Saturday as we take over Eagle Square with beer, authentic German food, lots of beer, live entertainment, some more beer, huge outside bar, German beer, live Bavarian/Polka band, more beer, live Rock and Roll band, pints of beer, contests, steins of beer, games, have I said beer yet, giveaways, draft beer, fun, and oh yea....BEER!
5. Make your own wine! Don't miss the Harvest Winefest at Nashua's IncrediBREW, Inc. on Friday, September 28 at 6 p.m. The cost is only $60 for six bottles of wine that you will bring home at the end of the evening to enjoy! Harvest time is always a busy time for a vineyard and a winery but is also a very special time to celebrate all that nature has provided. On this night you'll learn how to make a batch of wine the fun and easy way and also bottle a batch with just as much ease. Enjoy snacks, wine tasting and all the instructions for the night. You'll take home a mixed six pack containing a bottle of Austrian Zweigelt, White Cranberry Pinot Grigio, Ice Wine, Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz, Cranberry Malbec and California Chardonnay. Gather family and friends for a fun night out and take home the fruits of the harvest.
