4. BREAKFAST WITH SANTA! The Amherst Area Newcomers’ Club is gearing up to host Santa Claus at a special Breakfast on Saturday, December 8th, from 9.00am to 11.00am. Santa will be having breakfast at the Amherst Congregational Church and all children, parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, and neighbors are welcome to join in the fun! Tickets are $6 each and are available ONLY in advance. Admission includes a continental breakfast, holiday crafts, games, and a photo of your child with Santa. This event sells out every year so please get your tickets early. Tickets can be reserved by calling Jessica Steele at 672.2252.
5. Laughton resigns. Stacie Laughton, New Hampshire's first elected transgender politician, has officially resigned from her state rep position, according to Nashua Patch. She ceremoniously signed her letter of resignation on air on the Access Nashua cable access TV station.
