1. Forecast: Learning! Cloudy with a Chance of Math & Science will take place on Saturday, March 23 from 1-4 p.m. in the AMS Cafeteria. This weather-themed learning event is for students K-5 and parents to practice math skills with fun games and activities, and follow the scientific method with interactive experiments and displays You won’t want to miss this special day of parent-child interaction, learning and fun! Goody bags, raffle prizes and school recognition too!

2. Fido wants brunch. A new bill in New Hampshire would allow dogs to be in restaurants' outdoor seating areas. It gives this opportunity to "allow disciplined and leashed dogs."

3. Fairly popular. "My Fair Lady" ranks among the most popular musicals in theater history. The show opened on Broadway in New York City in 1956 and ran for 2,717 performances, a record for a musical up to that time.

Congrats! Local residents were recently recognized for achieving academic distinction during the University of Massachusetts Lowell's Fall 2012 semester.To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have completed at least 12 graded credits for the semester, have at least a 3.25 grade point average with no grade lower than C and may not have any incompletes. Local Amherst students named to the Dean's List are: Brooke Allaby majoring in criminal justice, Frederick Hwang majoring in electrical engineering and Benjamin majoring in mechanical engineering.
