1. Birch Park

From sun up to sun down, Amherst’s Birch Park invites cyclists to enjoy the pump track in town. The track is designed with bank turns and other features for riders to gain momentum with body movements rather than pedaling their bikes. 2. Little Hearts Playroom

Before the littlest kids head back to school or daycare, take them to Little Hearts Playroom in Amherst to socialize. Children 6 months to 5 years old can have fun in the interactive playroom and get some energy out indoors, away from the summer sun. Joshua's Park, donated by the Amherst Land Trust, features a large playground for kids aged 2-12, open fields and community gardens. While currently under construction with potential unannounced closures, the park offers a great spot for families to enjoy playtime and outdoor activities. 4. Ponemah Bog

Ponemah Bog Wildlife Sanctuary, a 75-acre haven protected by the Audubon Society of New Hampshire, serves as an outdoor classroom.
