Man In Massachusetts Racks Up Theft, Drug Charges All Across Central, Southern New Hampshire
Chad Hirtle of East Bridgewater, MA, was arrested Friday, accused of several thefts; he has 8 other active cases in NH superior courts.

NASHUA, NH — Police in Nashua arrested a man now living in Massachusetts, with several active theft cases, accusing him of additional thefts in the Gate City this year.
Between January and April, police took theft reports from businesses along Daniel Webster Highway, including Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Lowe’s, Guitar Center, and Tobacco Barn. Detectives began working the cases and accused Chad Hirtle, 28, of East Bridgewater, MA, of being the suspect in all of them. He was arrested on Dec. 12 on a felony warrant for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer-$1,500-plus. Later, he was charged with theft-consolidation excess of $1,000, theft-three separate businesses within 72 hours, and theft-excess of $1,000 charges, all felonies.
Hirtle was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.

According to superior court records, Hirtle has racked up several charges in the central and southern parts of the state.

Hirtle was accused of two felony theft charges after an incident in Merrimack on March 16. He failed to appear at a dispositional conference in September. Hirtle has a status conference booked for Feb. 5.
In January, Hirtle was accused of three felony counts of willful concealment and breach of bail in Amherst, stemming from three separate incidents. He was formally charged in early April. Hirtle had a dispositional conference on Nov. 19 and is back in Hills North on Dec. 30 for a second dispositional conference.
In early November 2024, Hirtle was accused of felony theft in Hudson but not formally charged for seven months. He has a status conference booked for Feb. 5.
Hirtle was also accused of felony drug possession in Hooksett in late November 2024 for not formally charged until July 29. He was arraigned on Oct. 16, had a status conference on Nov. 12, and is expected back in Merrimack County Superior Court for a plea and sentencing hearing on Jan. 13, 2026.
According to posts on Patch, Hirtle, when he lived in Nashua, has been previously charged with receiving stolen property, theft, and drug possession.
