5 Things: Looking To Shoot Some Hoops?
I ain't ready for the altar, but I do agree there's times when a Patch sure can be a friend of mine

1. Weather report: Today will be partly cloudy with a high of 74 degrees. Tonight will bring showers with an overnight low of 58 degrees. Get used to the rain, because you will see it again tomorrow.
2. Coming out of the dark. The Amherst Lions Club is hosting a movie showing of "Going Blind/Going Forward" on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. in the Amherst Congregational Church. The film is a hopeful look at the world of vision loss and blindness.

3. Patch Fact: Did you know: Approximately 90 percent of crop circles in the world appear in England. The largest of these was found in Etchilhampton, Wiltshire, in 1996. The pattern formed an elongated group of circles 4,100 feet long. Another at nearby Milk Hill was made of 409 circles, the most in any one formation.
4. Shootin' hoops. Milford Recreation is hosting a coed pickup adult basketball game tonight from 6:30-9 p.m. at Bales Gym. Sign-up for this fun pickup league at www.milfordrec.com. Games happen on Tuesdays and Thursdays with only 20 participants allowed.

5. Got news? Patch Editor Robert Michaelson is looking for stories to cover in your community. Send your news tips to him at Robert.Michaelson@patch.com and share the news that goes right onto Patch every day. Did you know that an adorable kitten is born every time you send in a news tip? Well, now you do, and you don't want to deprive the world of kittens do you?
