2. Sweet! Join Amherst Recreation and instructor is April Pedroza for a fun filled (and sugar filled) cupcake class. Find out how to make delicious homemade cupcakes with style and pizzazz. Each child (grades 5-8) will leave with a dozen cupcakes to bring home. The class will take place on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Amherst Middle School Life Skills Room. The fee is $24 for residents and $34 for nonresidents.

The event, which has NRPC staff available to talk about regional priorities and challenges, will take place at the commission's offices at 9 Executive Park Drive in Merrimack, and scheduled to run from 5-7 p.m.
