Amherst Man Indicted On Strangulation, Reckless Conduct Charges: Court

Man accused of stabbing a man twice; man indicted on strangulation, other charges; Milford man accused of trying to lure a girl for assault.

MANCHESTER, NH — The following people were indicted in Hillsborough County Superior Court North recently.

John Banfield, 44, of Major Drive of Nashua on second-degree assault, witness tampering, and criminal solicitation charges, all felonies. He was accused of strangling a woman, an intimate partner, on Feb. 3 in Amherst and then, between Feb. 6 and Feb. 24, attempting to get others to get the victim not to testify or show up in court.

Kyle Berlinguette, 31, of Parker Avenue in Manchester on a felony receiving stolen property charge. He was accused of stealing a generator from Northwest Flooring Solutions in Bedford between Dec. 28, and Dec. 29, 2021.

Ethan Botzos, 25, of Donna Drive in Suncook on receiving stolen property and two robbery charges, all felonies. He was accused of threatening two people with a knife in Manchester on Jun 17, 2021, to steal cellphones and car keys and possessing a 2010 Nissan Versa.

Joshua Cappi, 34, of Holt Road in Wilton on a felony reckless conduct charge. He was accused of driving a Toyota Corolla the wrong way on Interstate 93 in Manchester on Jan. 22.

Jeremy Fortin, 40, of Village Street in Penacook on a burglary charge. He was accused of burglarizing TMS Diesel in Weare on July 24, 2021.

Gregory Fox, 42, of Pine Street in Manchester on two first-degree assault charges. He was accused of stabbing another person twice on Jan 16 in Manchester. Read more about this case here: Man Stabbed In Altercation At Bowling Alley After Argument

Travis Hollins, 26, of Elm Street in Milford on 8 counts of computer services prohibited charges. He was accused of attempting to solicit or lure a child into a sexual assault by using social media between Sept. 23, and Oct. 5, 2021, in Manchester.

Jonathan Hooven, 22, of Boston Post Road in Amherst on second-degree assault, reckless conduct, and criminal restraint charges, all felonies. He was accused of strangling an intimate partner, striking her in the back of the head with a hard object, and holding her, and restricting her movement to escape him on Nov. 18, 2021, in Amherst.
