Amherst Memorial Day Parade is May 30
The parade forms at 5:30 p.m. Friday on Middle Street and the "steps off" is at 6 p.m.
Amherst's annual Memorial Day Parade is Friday, May 30.
The parade forms at 5:30 p.m. on Middle Street and the common and the parade "steps off" at 6 p.m., with a stop at Village Cemeteries and monuments. Post parade ceremonies are at 7 p.m. on the large common.
The "evening sunset" schedule is designed to boost community participation, and as such, veterans, scouts and residents are encouraged to join the parade in recognition of those who have died in service to the country.
