Amherst Murder Happened During Thanksgiving Party: Report

AMHERST, NH -- The man murdered at an Amherst home on Thanksgiving Thursday was shot during a party, according to the homeowner. Bryson Peluso, 27, was charged with shooting and killing Brandon Kluz, 23. The shooting happened Thursday at about 1 a.m. at a residence at 19 Baboosic Lake Road, according to New Hampshire Attorney General Gordon MacDonald.
Homeowner Diane Zahn told the Union Leader there was a party with a number of young adults. Peluso arrived uninvited and was asked to leave, Zahn told the Union Leader.
Kluz was shot in the chest "under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life," MacDonald said.

Peluso was held in custody after his arraignment Friday, according to the Union Leader. He was charged with second-degree murder.
The house where the shooting happened is less than a quarter-mile from the police station near Route 101.
