Crimson Tide Places 5th; Salem Girls 3rd At George Bossi Holiday Tourney: New Hampshire Wrestling Roundup
Hundreds of boys and girls wrestled in more than 1,450 matches during the 2-day event held at the Tsongas Center on Friday and Saturday.
LOWELL, MA — In a potential preview of the New England Interscholastic Wrestling Championship in March of next year, more than 80 high schools from around the region sent students to compete in more than 1,450 bouts in Lowell, Massachusetts, at the annual 2025 George Bossi Lowell Holiday Tournament at the Tsongas Center.
Hundreds of wrestlers participated in the event, featuring 14 boy brackets and 12 for the girls.
After two days of wrestling, Central Catholic High School of Lawrence, MA, placed first with 268.5 points, while Shawsheen Valley Technical of Billerica, MA, came in second with 221 points, and St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA, came in third with 182.5 points. Rounding out the Top 5 were Milford, MA, with 159 points and Concord, NH, with 148 points.

Biswar Darji, a junior at Concord High School, won the Mark Donovan Award for most pins in the least amount of time during the tourney.

Twenty-two New Hampshire schools, including Bedford, Bishop Guertin, Hopkinton, Manchester West, Merrimack, Nashua North, and Nashua South, participated in the 2025 Nor’Easter Invitational in Hollis on Saturday.
For Bedford, Gabe Kenna was 0-2 with a bye; Zachary Benn was 0-2 with a bye; Walker Drown in the 126 went 1-1, while Eric Gao in the 138 went 2-2; in the 144, Calvin Foxon was 0-2 with a bye; In the 190, Ben Perkins was 0-2 with a bye; Will Riley in the 215 went 3-0.

Exeter Wrestles At Winnisquam Quad
Exeter wrestled against Kingswood Regional, Prospect Mountain, and Winnisquam Regional on Saturday. The only scores available were Winnisquam’s 43-30 win against the Blue Hawks. Avery Niemi in the 175 won by pin as did Reid Grandmason in the 113, Eli Jones in the 120, Hudson Berry in the 132, and Ryan Grandmano in the 150.
