Amherst Primary Results 2012

The votes are in. Who won, who lost, and will the power shift in Concord?

Voters hitting the polls Sept. 11 at Souhegan High School – polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. – have spoken. Here are unofficial results. 

A total of 2010 votes were cast today, with 234 of them choosing not to show identification.

Republican voters had the most to vote on with many contested races for them to choose in. This includes Daniel Dwyer and Peter Bragdon going up against each other for state senator today, as well as the battle between Chris Christensen and Carol Holden for county commissioner.

There was one too many Republican contenders for state representative and one of the four candidates will be bumped off of the ballot for the November election.

Democrats only had to vote for their pick of governor and county attorney, which comes down to Patricia M. LaFrance and Robert M. Walsh.
