Amherst Students Receive Academic Honors

Patch Props to all of these local students making big achievements.

The following students have recently reached educational milestones:

  • Emily Readdy, a Junior Biomedical Engineering -BS major and a resident of Amherst, has earned the esteemed honor of placement on the Dean's List at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for the spring 2013 semester. To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above.
  • On a morning marked by wispy clouds in a blue sky, more than 21,000 people -- graduates and their families and friends, including Samantha Trainor -- braved gale force winds to celebrate the University of Delaware's 164th Commencement, held Saturday, May 25, at Delaware Stadium. Trainor is from Amherst, NH.
  • Paige Ruland, of Amherst, has been placed on the Gettysburg College Dean's Honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the Spring 2013 semester. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester's work are placed on the College's Dean's Honor List.
  • Amherst resident Kevin Leonard graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.
  • Charlotte Walters of Amherst, New Hampshire (03031), has been named to the Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design for spring quarter 2013. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the Dean's List.
  • Katheryn Almeida of Amherst, N.H. (03031) was named to the Dean's List of Emory College of Arts and Sciences, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., for the 2013 spring semester.
  • Sarah Regan, a junior from Amherst has been named to the High Honor Roll at the Loomis Chaffee School.
