Amherst Teen Dies In Boston Post Road Crash
Traffic accident reconstruction teams in Amherst and Milford police are investigating the incident on Tuesday.

AMHERST, NH — A local teen died after a car accident on Boston Post Road on Tuesday.
Around 2:30 p.m., Amherst police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a single-vehicle crash with injury on the road near Cricket Corner Road. A juvenile driver was trapped in the car, and emergency crews extricated him from the crash, Capt. Anthony Ciampoli of the Amherst Police Department said. He was taken to Southern NH Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
“The single vehicle was found to be heading north on Boston Post Road at what was reported to be an excessive rate of speed moments before the vehicle departed the roadway,” Ciampoli said, “ultimately striking a tree.”

Ciampoli said, given the age of the victim, their name was not being released.
