For the week of Feb. 13: Jason Bender, a Junior on the Souhegan Nordic Ski Team has been selected by Souhegan's Varsity Coaches as the Saber Student-Athlete of the week for the Week of February 13th. Head Nordic Coach Kathy Maddock stated "Jason topped off a fantastic ski season last week with two top-ten performances in the Division II State Meet. Jason was 5th place in morning's classic race, followed by an even stronger 4th place in the afternoon's skate race, especially impressive considering that he is only a junior.  Jason has consistently been the Saber's top skier, earning valuable points for the boys team. Jason has qualified to represent New Hampshire at the Eastern High School Championships to be held next month. As a member of this elite team Jason will be racing against the best skiers from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont."
