At the Library: Get Your Health Insurance Questions Answered

Take a look at what's happening at the Amherst Town Library this week:

Monday, Nov. 18, 2013

3:30-4 p.m. – Johnson Meeting Room, Spanish is Fun with Senora Rowley: Senora Rowley is once again generously donating her time and energy to introduce Amherst children to the joys of speaking Spanish!! There will be four Monday afternoon sessions – November 4, 11, 18 and 25. Make sure to sign up for each session that your child will be attending. Kids ages 4 and older.

10-10:45 a.m. – Johnson Meeting Room, Toddler Time story time: Story time for ages 24 months thru 3 years with caregivers present. Simple craft following the stories. No registration required.
1-2:15 p.m. – Johnson Meeting Room, Friends of the Library Board Meeting
7-8:30 p.m. – Johnson Meeting Room, Health Insurance Marketplace Educational Session: Open enrollment is underway for the new Health Insurance Marketplace. Just about everyone has questions about how the changes will affect them personally, whether they have health insurance, don't have health insurance, or are covered by Medicare. This educational session, led by an AARP Health Marketplace educator, will provide an overview of the Health Insurance Marketplace: who is eligible, how they enroll, tax credits, and options for those with limited incomes. Although the presenter Sarah Kelsea is connected to AARP, this program is not limited to seniors, but is open to all who need to learn the details of the new health insurance system.

6:30-7:30 p.m. – Johnson Meeting Room, Popcorn-Eating Monsters Teen Book Club: On the third Wednesday of each month, seventh- and eighth-graders get together to talk about the books they're reading, give each other recommendations, plan activities together, and, of course – eat popcorn! If you'd like to join, call Miss Sarah at 673-2288.

1-1:45 p.m. – Johnson Meeting, Room Book Bunch (PM): Story time for ages 3-6. Lots of stories followed by a simple craft. No registration needed.
3-4:15 p.m. – Johnson Meeting Room, Tablet (Android, iOS) eBook Class: Learn how to use the new 3M eBook service with your iPad or Android tablet!

10:30 -11:15 a.m. – Johnson Meeting Room, Baby Listeners story time: Lapsit story time for children from birth to 24 months and their caregivers. No registration required.
