Bedford Home Invasion Suspect May Still Pose A Danger to Public

Police said the suspect in Saturday's brutal home invasion remains on the loose and could still pose a danger to the public.

Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski gave a description of the suspect at a press conference at the Bedford Police station on Friday afternoon, but provided few other details in the case. A man attacked a couple at 7 Proclamation Court in Bedford on Saturday, Nov. 24.

Forensic evidence and an account from one of the victims suggests the attacker is approximately 6 feet tall and was wearing dark coat and a black ski mask on the night of the attack. Bryfonski said police have no information on a possible motive at this point.

Homeowners Eduardo and Sonia Quesada were hospitalized after suffering serious injuries in the attack. Sonia has been released from the hospital, but Eduardo, an anesthesiologist who has worked at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, remains hospitalized. Their baby was also inside the home, but was unharmed.

Bryfonski urged residents to use caution as the search for the attacker continues. He said there is a “distinct possibility” that the man may strike again.

He advised residents to keep their lights on at night and activate alarm systems if they have them. He encouraged residents to call police "anytime, no matter how trivial they think it is."

Bryfonski said residents can "rest assured anything and everything that can be done is being done to solve this particular case," including additional patrols in residential neighborhoods.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency have been involved in the investigation, as well as state police and the attorney general’s office.

Police and state officials were seen combing Route 101 in Amherst on Thursday in relation to the Bedford home invasion, according to WMUR. Bryfonski confirmed Friday that this was definitely in relation to the case, but wouldn't say if anything was found.
