Bruce Bowler Resigns from Amherst Board of Selectmen

Dwight Brew will now serve as the new chairman of the Amherst selectmen.

Amherst Board of Selectmen Chairman Bruce Bowler announced his resignation from his position at Monday's selectmen meeting.

Bowler was not present during the meeting, but stated in a letter that he would step down from his position after 10 years. He wrote that he wanted to spend more time with his family. He also said that he wants to thank all of the residents who supported him over the years.

The board accepted his resignation, which is effective April 1.
