Climax Portable Machining & Welding Systems Opens New Amherst Facility

The company will host an open house to showcase their training institute and demonstrate precision machining and welding systems.

A new business to Amherst is eager to show off their machines and looking to hire at their new facility on Route 101A.

Climax Portable Machining & Welding Systems, a global provider of precision portable machining and automated welding systems, recently opened its East Coast facility in Amherst. The facility will house Climax’s sales, rental, engineering and training operations.

Climax said that they chose Amherst for its East Coast operations because of its proximity to many customers in the Northeastern part of the United States. The new facility has already brought seven new jobs to Amherst, and is expected to grow in the future.

Job-seekers also can learn about current job openings.

On Thursday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., customers are invited to an exclusive open-house where, in addition to a tour, they can also meet the team and hear a presentation about the latest Climax standard and custom portable machining and automated welding systems.

In honor of its grand opening, Climax will offer area customers a special 2-for-1 training promotion and a $300 voucher towards welding consumables, as well as a chance to enter a contest to win a voucher for $2,000 off their next complete machine purchase.

The special offers and contest are available only during the two days of the open house.
