Do YOU Want to be an Amherst Selectman?

The deadline to apply is Thursday, April 4 at 4 p.m.

The Town of Amherst Board of Selectmen is seeking citizens interested in serving the community by filling a vacant Selectman seat. 

In accordance with RSA 669:63 – Vacancies in the board of selectmen shall be filled by appointment made by the remaining selectmen. This interim appointment shall expire in conjunction with the next election, scheduled for March 11, 2014. 

Interested candidates must be a resident of Amherst NH and are encouraged to file a letter/e-mail of intent with qualifications for consideration to the Town Administration office. Letters/e-mails of intent must be received by 4 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2013 and can be sent to the following:

The Board of Selectmen will conduct public interviews, are part of their regularly scheduled meeting, on Monday, April 8, 2013.
