Embracing Each and Every Moment
Moments are not meant to be seized or captured. They need to be set free.

There are some moments in life where everything seems to be perfect.
It can be a fit of laughter with a good friend, cuddle time with the family pet or a sip of coffee at a cafe (which I am currently engaging in.)

Moments like these can seem fleeting and appear to leave faster than they came. You’ll never know when they come, or when they will return again, but they are always out there waiting to be cherished.
The temptation is always to hold onto them for as long as possible, but the need to cling to a moment can detract from what makes it so special. Time spent wondering how to embrace an feeling is time taken away from that moment.

Modern society wants to capture every moment. Everything needs to be photographed or recorded in order to trap the magic. We are tweeting when we should be watching, and posting about great times that are slipping away before us. Witnessing a show through a tiny phone screen when there is a truly HD version right in front of us.
Why try and trap a moment when we can just BE the moment?
Just close your eyes the next time you feel completely happy or at peace. Don’t think about why it is something special or how it happened. Just become a part of something wonderful that life has given.
No need to write it down for later or photograph it. Just enjoy it while it lasts. We cannot slow time down (trust me I would get a lot more work done,) but we can slow ourselves down to enjoy some time.
Happiness cannot be bottled up and stored. A moment can be remembered, but it won’t truly be experienced the same way through any medium. That is why I try and take in the good times while they are happening in their purest form.
Life is good. Just let it happen.
