Friends of the Library Annual Fall Book Sale This Saturday

The latest happenings at the Amherst Town Library.

Most Popular Children's Fiction: The Serpents Shadow by Rick Riordan. Despite their best efforts, Carter and Sade Kane can't seem to keep Apophis, the chaos snake, down. Their only hope: find an ancient spell that might turn the serpent's own shadow into a weapon.

Friends of the Library Annual Fall Book Sale: Mark your calendars and don’t miss The Friends of the Amherst Library’s Book Sale on Saturday, Sept. 15  in the Amherst Congregational Church. The sale runs from 8:30 a.m - 3 p.m. (Members only 8 a.m.-8:30 a.m.) Memberships are available at the door. 100 percent of the proceeds from the book sale will go to improvements to the library. So plan to do some of your book shopping with The Friends knowing that you will be supporting the town library.

We all miss summer: The result of the library's favorite beach contest was a tie between Hampton Beach Ogunquit Beach  in Maine. Congratuations to Patty Labounty for winning the beach raffle prize!
