Get Ready For A Festive Weekend!

Every time you have good times, an angel gets its wings.

1. It's a wonderful life! Get into the spirit of the season with a new twist on a holiday classic at the Kelley Library in Salem tonight! Pontine Theatre’s Artistic Directors, M. Marguerite Mathews and Greg Gathers, perform a two-person, condensed version of It’s A Wonderful Life. The script is drawn from a 1940’s radio play based on the popular movie. Pontine Theatre adds a lively production style featuring colorful puppets and masks, for a performance sure to delight every member of the audience.

2. Add some color! Looking for something different to do Friday night? Need a gift to bring for Yankee Swap? The Studio in Bedford is now offering 2-hour painting sessions for grown-ups on the first and third Fridays of the month and in December we will be painting wine glasses! They will provide you with the glassware, brushes, and paint while our instructor guides you through different designs, color mixing and brush techniques to create some unique gifts anybody would appreciate!

3. Celebrate! Head over to the Red River Theatres this Saturday for Las Posadas, an original operetta being toured this season by Alchemists' Workshop - a non-profit professional theatre company that specializes in commissioning new works of musical theatre using New Hampshire artists.  Composer and lyricist Will Ogmundson and script-writer Tom Dunn have teamed up to adapt author Tomie dePaola's classic holiday tale "The Night of Las Posadas" in this exciting new work.  The talents of vocalists Fred Sprague, Cindy Johnson, Linny Kenny, and Scott Sweatt will be showcased in this exceptional performance!
